The Musee Nissim de Camondo, built by Rene Sargent and modelled after the Petit Trianon at Versailles, is one of Pariss finest early 20th-century mansions. Now part of the Musee des Arts Decoratifs, it is the setting for a remarkable collection of 18th-century furniture and objets dart, amassed by the buildings original owner, Comte Moise de Camondo. These treasures appear on the pages of this lavish volume in hundreds of colour photographs by acclaimed photographer Jean-Marie del Moral, forming a virtual museum tour and acting as a unique testament to an extraordinary and ultimately tragic family history.
